Femme Boot Pride!

Femme Boot Pride is a group of self-identified Femme Bootblacks.

Being “Femme” is an individual self-identity. FBP thrives on it’s membership of uniquely strong and independent individuals — our solidarity and commonality is found in our understanding that the definition of Femme involves who you are and not just how you bootblack.

We created this space and events to help nurture and foster up and coming femme bootblacks across the nation,  a chance to find a teacher, another bootblack in your region to talk to, events, roundtables, forums and possible venues to bootblack in public. Most importantly we wanted to give ourselves a home. A group and an event that we could be proud to call ours.

Currently all of our efforts are being put into Femme Boot Pride Weekend but that will be branching out more come in late 2011.
